Happy Jacks is a purpose built family run business established in 2004.
With the support of our experienced, highly qualified team and our range of sensory/creative play areas, children from 3 months to 4 years will be given the opportunity to learn and develop to the best of their ability.

Starting nursery is a big step for both parents and children. Our settling in sessions are free of charge and are tailored individually to suit each parent and their child.

Throughout the year your child will be involved in a tooth brushing program supported by the NHS oral health team in Rochdale. Each term all children are provided free toothbrushes and toothpaste to take home.

With our newly qualified Forest school practitioners we are now able to offer this exciting new learning experience to all children aged 2-4. Forest school is an inspirational process, that offers all learners regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self esteem through hands on learning experiences in a woodland or natural environment with trees.

Our dedicated and highly experienced baby room team will nurture and care for your baby within a comfortable, safe, secure and welcoming environment with direct access to the outdoor play area. We have cots set out in the sleep room for babies to rest as and when they need to. This is a very busy and exploratory age, which is why it is so important to feed into their desire to explore their surroundings and listen to their interests. Learning experiences are planned for children individually using lots of sensory play.

Children in our 2-3 room are provided with a broad range of play experiences to help develop your child’s natural curiosity. The room is a large bright room with plenty of space for your child to explore. Your keyperson will plan activities to develop your child’s interests and abilities.

Pre School

Our pre-school is a separate building with a school readiness feel to it. Our early years teachers plan a variety of activities to aid your child’s development, from sensory play to mathematical games, letters and sounds, cooking to a variety of crafts. The children are encouraged to prepare for school life as we promote self-confidence, self-help skills, good looking and good listening skills.

We Love to be outdoors! With our built in shelters and play sheds children can access our large outdoor space in all weathers.
We activity encourage the children to play outside as much as possible. This allows them to develop their gross motor skills and use up lots of energy in the process.
Alongside our large open space our areas include a sand hut, mud kitchen, sensory shed, mark making space and a growing patch for all of our fruit, veg and herbs.

We are pleased to offer the new 30 hours funded childcare entitlement for 3-4 year olds, and will continue to offer the 15 hour council funded childcare scheme for 2-4 year olds.
Please contact us for more information.

Children have access to both indoors and outdoors each day in all weathers. We also have opportunities to take children on outings to the local park, shops, library and garden centre.
Outing forms will be signed by parents on induction. We ask that you send your child in appropriate clothing and shoes for all weathers.
